THERE ARE AT LEAST 85 DIFFERENT CANNABINOIDS THAT HAVE BEEN ISOLATED FROM THIS PLANT. TWO OF THE MOST DOMINATE AND KNOWN CANNABINOIDS ARE TETRAHYDROCANNABINOL KNOWN AS THC AND CANNABIDIOL KNOWN AS CBD.
What is Hemp?
THC VS. CBD
THC is the cannabinoid that is responsible for the psychoactive component or the “high” feeling in the Marijuana. THC is predominately found in the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids effect every person differently so it is important to educate oneself in the different levels and varying effects of the many strains of marijuana.
Tetrahdrocannabinol
CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that holds the key to a wide variety of medical and therapeutic properties. CBD is abundant in the hemp plant. It can be used to make oils, solvents, creams and even suppositories. It also counteracts the effects of THC, giving the user an uplifting, mellow, relaxed, and focused feeling unlike the “high” attributed to THC.
